Gathering Recap - 03/13/2022 - The Story of God: Ezra & Nehemiah

Here is a recap from our gathering on Sunday, March 13th, 2022

Call to worship:

8
Come, behold the works of the Lord,
how he has brought desolations on the earth.
9 He makes wars cease to the end of the earth;
he breaks the bow and shatters the spear;
he burns the chariots with fire.
10 “Be still, and know that I am God.
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!”
11 The Lord of hosts is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah

Psalm 46:8-11

Questions for reflection:

How do we discern “right boundaries for real enemies?”

How does Jesus bring what you ought to do and want to do into alignment?

When we reject the rhythms of worship, in what ways are we no longer ready to receive renewal?

What problems occur when we remove Christ from Christianity?

Corporate Prayer:

Our Father in Heaven, We thank you for the promise of your presence. Please prepare us and help us to follow Your Son toward flourishing. Empower us, guide us, and direct us by Your Spirit. Grant us a hunger for your word, a passion for prayer, and a love for people. Let us reflect you well in all that we say and do. For the glory of Christ we pray, amen.
